A handful of teaching evenings around Oslo cost nothing. Groruddalen sjakklubb's evenings at Tiurleiken skole and Romsås senter are free and need no sign-up; Vestby Sjakklubb's Monday games evenings for children and young people in Vestby Kulturkvartal are free and open to all levels; the Dragulf clubs' games evenings are free for members, and their combined course and games evening at Rosenholm skole in Søndre Nordstrand is open to anyone.

The monthly hobby evening at Bekkestua library is described as free and open to all. The Dragulf evening courses themselves are paid per seven-week round, at the price shown on the cards.
